The Dirty Devil Team will be using Gatorz® sunglasses during our expedition, because I don't think any other brand can stand up to the abuse the river and the team can dish out. With all the dirt and grime I have the confidence that the Gatorz® brand will serve us well. I can honestly say this not true. We ordered Gatorz because of their quality product. I chose Gatorz® Sunglasses, because they are a tough billet aluminum masterpiece. Gatorz® sunglasses have been a favorite of mine (Bam Bam) for 7 years now and I am still wearing them. I have sat on them and put them through the most rigorous testing I think an active person can dish out. I originally bought them to use when I was riding my Harley and their sleek curved design kept the wind out and provided a great barrier between me and the road debris being kick up in my face. Gatorz® have outlasted about 30-40 pairs or other sunglasses I have tried, even the other name brands like Oakley, Smith and various other brands. Sometimes you have to try others to see if there is a better product, I didn't find any. Gatorz® durability, quality and clear lenses have outlasted all the other brands. I figured out after spending approximately $1500 on other brands that Gatorz® were unmatched...I should have saved my money and bought another outdoor toy. They have never let me down. I have used them for the following activities and you will see how they performed.
Snow Skiing-They can take a brutal pounding during the most heinous of wipeouts. With clear optics and a solid aluminum frame you can't go wrong. Plus the tint is perfect for the bright sunlight reflecting off the snow.
Motorcycle Riding-Their sleek contoured fit did a great job of blocking the wind and they've kept road debris out of my eyes....Plus they look tough too. The polished aluminum hold a great shine for a long time...I am at 7 years and they still look great!
Boating (Sailing, Kayaking, and Jet Skiing)-They perform great hear because they won't rust and the clarity of their lenses are awesome and they do a great job of blocking the blazing sun. I have a 24 foot sailboat and they are my shades of choice when harnessing the wind.
ATV'ing-I liked the stable fit and durability while hitting the trails. I have stuffed them in my backpack with the confidence that they will not be crushed. Their slim design and close fit over the ears makes them really comfortable when wearing them with a helmet.
Golf-I am really picky about what I wear golfing, because when you lean over to hit the ball most shades slide down towards the tip of your nose. Gatorz® stay in place and even though they are a wrap around style their lenses give me a clean undistorted view of the course. This is huge because I have tried many other brands and a majority have some sort of distortion because of the curved lens, not the Gatorz® they are crystal clear and very precise, this helps me find my ball when I am busting through the bushes.
Flying-I have quit using my $125+ Ray Ban's, because they did not provide me any side protection from the sun and when it comes down to spotting aircraft it is very important to see the other guy so there isn't a collision, plus its a matter of life death. I'm telling you I use them for everything!!!
Last of all-I where them when I am mowing the lawn, plowing snow, and weed eating. They have taken quite a bit of abuse from me. Another benefit about Gatorz® is when you think they have had enough you don't have to buy another pair, you just send them in and they will refurbish the frames and replace the lenses at a fraction of the cost. 7 years now and mine might be ready for a tune up, but I am hate to go without them, even though the turn around time is about 7-10 days.
